Step into the world of traditional Lippan Art with this engaging 5-day workshop, where creativity and culture come together. Perfect for ages 8 and up, this workshop offers a hands-on experience in learning the intricate art of mirror work and clay relief. Throughout the course, you will create two stunning projects—one small and one medium-sized—while mastering essential techniques such as clay handling, drawing, outlining, coloring, and applying mirror embellishments.
Over the course of five days, you will be guided through each step of the process. Day one introduces you to working with clay, where you’ll learn to mold and shape it to form raised patterns. On subsequent days, you’ll focus on drawing and outlining designs, learning how to create detailed patterns that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Lippan Art. The final stages involve adding color and embellishing your artwork with small mirrors, creating a striking effect that is characteristic of this ancient craft.
This workshop is designed for all skill levels, so whether you’re a beginner or have prior experience, you’ll walk away with a deep appreciation for Lippan Art and the skills to continue creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces. Join us for a fun and enriching experience!
